he Bendigo
Motorcycle Expo 2011 will be held on Saturday and Sunday 19th
& 20th March at the Prince of Wales Showgrounds
Exhibition Building in Bendigo
Victoria and will showcase major manufacturers and retail
exhibitors of on and off-road motorcycles, including Yamaha, Honda,
Kawasaki, Harley-Davidson, Suzuki, and Triumph, along with motor
scooter distributors. Motorcycle accessories manufacturers
and distributors will be peddling their wares as well, with trade
stalls showcasing products from helmets and riding wear, to parts,
accessories, bike trailers and more.
Spearheaded
by a dedicated committee of local bike enthusiasts, the main aim is to
spark interest in the general community into the benefits of scootering
and motorcycling, as well as showing new and innovative ideas to
serious bikers. Being a non-profit
organisation BME Inc supports worthy local and national
community organisations and charities. This year we are proudly
supporting Righteous
Pups Australia whose mission is to raise, socialise and train
Autism Assistance Dogs to do a variety of practical tasks for Children
with Autism Spectrum Disorders and their families and also the St John Ambulance
who are dedicated to helping people in sickness, distress, suffering or
danger. St John is Australia's leading provider of first aid training,
first aid services at public events and supplier of first aid kits and
equipment.
Other
events scheduled to take place include a Swap Meet for
motorcycle parts, both vintage and current and accessories etc, a Catwalk Fashion Parade with
apparel manufacturers presenting rider and afterride fashion wear, the Electric Motorcycle
on and off road demo area, Lukey
Luke - the forever popular crowd pleaser from LL Stunt Entertainment
and an Extensive Show
& Shine covering a wide range of motorcycles of
all persuasions.
Bendigo
is the largest city in regional Victoria with a population of just over
100,000 people and is the hub of a huge catchment area with a large
number of serious bike riders not to mention the off road users. We
know from experience that a lot of country riders and potential riders
will not venture to the major cities, but they will come to Bendigo.
The
Bendigo
Exhibition Centre is located at the Prince of Wales Showgrounds
Bendigo less than 3kms from the Central Business District.
Bendigo is conveniently located in the geographic centre of Victoria,
situated at the junction of the Calder, McIvor, Midland and Loddon
Valley Highways, with excellent connections to other interstate
highways, placing more than 90 per cent of the state's population
within a two hour drive. Bendigo is serviced by high quality road and
rail links making it truly accessible for people to attend the event.
We
look forward to your company and welcome you to attend "an event for
the whole family".
